MPs 2030

Becoming active in politics and civil society in Germany

MPs 2030 is a program for young people who have recently come to Germany. It supports them to become active members of German civil society and politics and connects them to people who share the same goal.

Participants learn how the political system in Germany works and how they themselves can influence political decisions and drive social change. In the framework of the six-months program, they gain relevant knowledge, develop necessary skills and build useful networks. Participants meet in Berlin for regular weekend seminars and online for video conferences. The language spoken during the program is German.

MPs 2030 is supported by the Asylum, Migration and Integration Fund (AMIF) of the European Union (EU) and the Federal Agency for Civic Education of Germany.

It is implemented by IMPACT − Civil Society Research and Development e.V., a non-profit civil society organization founded in 2013 and based in Berlin. IMPACT e.V. has additional offices in Iraq, Turkey and Syria. Civil society-support is the core of IMPACT’s mission. Our organisation serves as a catalyst for cooperation among civil society actors in Syria and in the diaspora. We promote the exchange of experience and ideas among local civil society actors and their international partners. We offer support to civil society actors and activists using a community-based and holistic approach that includes assessment, research, training, long-term coaching and financial support.
